IMAN OSMAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Iman Osman is the Founder and Executive Director of the Lewiston Auburn Youth Network, bringing over a decade of public service experience to his leadership role. He oversees daily operations, strategic planning, and initiatives that support marginalized communities in Lewiston and Auburn.

Previously, Iman served as CEO of Bantaa Language Express Services and Executive Director at Bridges of Hope, where he drove growth and operational efficiency. He also worked as a Mental Health Case Manager at Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services for a decade, specializing in support for both adults and children. Iman holds certifications as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP), medical interpreter, and Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C).

Throughout his career, Iman has addressed critical issues such as street violence, substance abuse, and educational barriers, leading innovative programs to create positive change. His passion for public service, combined with his leadership experience, makes him a key driver of youth development and community empowerment.

SHAFI IBRAHIM, PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Shafi Ibrahim is a dedicated Program Coordinator at the Lewiston Auburn Youth Network, bringing over five years of public service experience. Known for his commitment to uplifting marginalized communities, Shafi plays a key role in shaping initiatives that address the needs of immigrant and refugee youth in the Lewiston and Auburn area.

With a passion for empowering others, Shafi fosters strong relationships within the community, creating opportunities for growth and learning through events, workshops, and mentorship programs. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration and inclusion, inspiring both his colleagues and the young people he serves.

Shafi’s work reflects a deep dedication to public service, making him a vital part of the organization's mission to create positive change and opportunity for those who need it most.

MOHAMED IBRAHIM, BOARD PRESIDENT

Mohamed Ibrahim serves as the Board President of the Lewiston Auburn Youth Network, bringing over a decade of leadership experience in public service. Throughout his distinguished career, he has been recognized for his strategic acumen, operational expertise, and unwavering commitment to corporate governance and ethical business practices.

He began his professional journey at Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services, where he held various positions before being appointed as the Program Coordinator. In this role, he spearheaded numerous initiatives that led to increased operational efficiency, market expansion, and significant revenue growth. His ability to navigate youth programs and his dedication to innovation were key drivers of the program’s success during his tenure. Passionate about mentoring future leaders, Mohamed is actively involved in various community service initiatives focused on recreational access, youth empowerment, and education

As Board President of the Lewiston Auburn Youth Network, Mohamed brings a wealth of knowledge and a strategic perspective that is instrumental in guiding the organization’s vision and long-term goals. His collaborative leadership style and commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and excellence make him an invaluable leader of the board.

MOHAMED HASSAN, BOARD MEMBER

Mohamed Hassan is a dedicated community leader and the co-founder of Goals Galore, an organization that hosts diverse tournaments with a strong focus on accessibility, ensuring that youth and young adults have access to recreational opportunities and can participate inclusively.

With over a decade of volunteer experience at Tree Street Youth, Mohamed has been a committed mentor to young people. He has provided homework assistance, organized engaging activities such as basketball games, managed the snack shack, and facilitated recreational activities for children aged 5 to 12. His journey with Lewiston Auburn Youth Network began as a volunteer, where he played a crucial role in coordinating soccer programs for youth. He has also been instrumental in organizing back-to-school events and participating in various community initiatives, all while contributing his time and energy to enhance the lives of young people in the community. Through his extensive involvement, Mohamed embodies the spirit of community service and mentorship, making him a valuable asset to Lewiston Auburn Youth Network.
